Autism is a disorder that requires treatment. If you want the best for your child it's important to treat any ailments they may have as soon as you may suspect a problem. (delayed speech, not making eye contact, lining up items, etc)
The sooner the diagnosis of autism the sooner you can calm your nerves as a parent. The longer that you prolong seeking an evaluation, the longer you'll be in the dark. Although it is very overwhelming that you may suspect a problem with your child, it is still beneficial and essential to determine if further aid is needed for your child's success.
Many resources are available after a diagnosis of autism is received. Once your child receives a diagnosis of autism they are then eligible to receive certain accommodations and modifications that are helpful to their independence and success. Without the diagnosis and treatment your child isn't allowed tk access certain thing at school or therapies they may need (speech, ot, Aba). These therapies are essential and beneficial.
